Background

The Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) is a four-year program of Tribhuvan University, designed to develop competent managers and entrepreneurs for the business world. The course provides students with an in-depth understanding of business operations, management, accounting, finance, marketing, and economics, making them capable of handling challenges in both national and international contexts.

At Gramin Adarsha College, BBS students gain a balanced knowledge of theoretical concepts and practical applications. The program also emphasizes analytical, decision-making, leadership, and communication skills essential for business professionals.

Duration of the Course and Examinations

The BBS program is a four-year academic course divided into eight semesters. University examinations are conducted at the end of each semester. A minimum of 80% attendance is compulsory to be eligible for examinations.

Admission Criteria

Students who have passed the +2 (or equivalent) in Management, Science, or Humanities streams with a minimum grade required by Tribhuvan University are eligible for admission into the BBS program.

Evaluation

Evaluation is based on a combination of internal assessment and final examinations conducted by Tribhuvan University. Internal evaluation includes class participation, assignments, presentations, and project work.

Course Structure

The BBS curriculum is divided into four groups:

  • Business Tools – Business Mathematics, Business Statistics, Economics, Computer Applications
  • Core Business Studies – Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Organizational Behavior
  • Management Applications – Business Law, Business Environment, Entrepreneurship, Taxation
  • Specialization – Students can specialize in areas such as Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or Management
