About the B.Ed. Course

The history of modern education in Nepal began with Durbar High School in 1853. Since then, the need for well-trained teachers has grown steadily. Gramin Adarsha College offers the 4-year B.Ed. program approved by Tribhuvan University, designed to train qualified secondary-level educators. Our curriculum emphasizes both theory and practical skills needed for effective teaching.

Our Approach

We focus on developing teachers who can inspire and manage classrooms effectively. Students at Gramin Adarsha College gain deep understanding of child development, educational theories, and pedagogical practices. They also learn curriculum development, assessment, and evaluation skills necessary to enhance the learning experience.

Eligibility

  • Completion of 10+2 or equivalent with at least 45% or D+ grade in each subject.
  • Passing the entrance examination conducted by Tribhuvan University (if required).
  • Subject-specific requirements:
    • Nepali Education: 200 marks in Nepali in +2/PCL.
    • English Education: At least 50% in major English papers in +2.
    • Mathematics Education: 200 marks in Mathematics in +2.

Admission Process

  • Submit mark sheet and character certificate of SEE/SLC.
  • Submit mark sheet, transcript, migration certificate, and character certificate of +2 or equivalent.
  • Provide a copy of citizenship or passport.

Graduates of our B.Ed. program are prepared to pursue careers in teaching, curriculum development, training, government campaigns, NGOs/INGOs, research, and even establishing their own educational institutions. Many of our students also continue higher studies, including M.Ed. and Ph.D. programs, to further enhance their academic and professional development.
